About Woof Den Rescue

Founded in 2019 in San Juan Bautista, California, Woof Den Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are strictly dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of Siberian Huskies, Northern breeds, and high-energy herding dogs—including German Shepherds, Border Collies, Australian Kelpies, and Cattle Dogs.Our primary mission is to provide a critical safety net for working dogs that are unwanted, abandoned, abused, or facing immediate euthanasia in overcrowded municipal shelters.The Foster-Based Difference Unlike traditional shelters with cold concrete kennels, Woof Den Rescue operates entirely through a centralized network of loving foster homes. Placing dogs directly into home environments allows us to:

• Fully evaluate their temperaments, energy levels, and trainability
• Provide essential structure, socialization, and basic behavior training
• Deliver meticulous medical attention, including spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinations, and parasite treatments
• Ensure every dog thrives on a high-quality, grain-friendly diet tailored to high-energy breeds

Education & Community Advocacy We believe that saving lives starts with public awareness. Working-breed dogs are frequently surrendered due to a lack of breed understanding regarding their high exercise demands, intelligence, and vocal nature. Through public education, transparency, and outreach events, we work closely with prospective adopters to find the perfect match, ensuring these beautiful animals never have to face a shelter cage again.
